Name/TitleCheonma Blue Glass Cup, Gyeongju National Museum, 002386-00000, NT620
About this objectPart of the bural assemblage in Cheonma tomb, this is one of two cups discovered: the other was very badly damaged. The line pattern has been engraved while the circles are formed by putting glass on the end of a tube, placing it against the vessel and blowing on it. This technique is found along the eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts in the Roman empire and it is probably imported from there.
