About this objectHorn-helmeted figures with religious/cultic significance are known across the Scandinavian world. In recent years, several from the early medieval period have been discovered in East Anglia, Britain, such as this one from Attleborough. They are believed to represent the god Woden/Odin with his twin ravens, Hugin and Munin, and can be compared to the helmet plate from Sutton Hoo 1, discussed in 'Death and Burials'.
